Telkwa seeking public help on grant spending

Telkwa Council is seeking public input on where to improve local recreational sites.

Currently, Council has $100,000 to put towards Dockrill Memorial rink and / or the BBQ grounds ball diamonds.

With communal help, Mayor Darcy Repen says the Village could receive even more money.

“The intent also is that we would try to use that grant funding to leverage more grant funding,” he says, “to try and make that $100 000 grow into a larger sum by utilizing it as matching funds for grant funding.”

The public input deadline is September 5th.

You can voice your opinion by contacting Council directly or taking an online poll.
