Rainbow Crosswalk headed to Second and Main

Downtown Smithers will incorporate a colourful crosswalk at the nearest practical time.

The “Rainbow Crosswalk” will represent the town’s acceptance of LGBTQ community, as well as promote town’s people to be themselves and show their “true colours.”

This concept has already been implemented in the South, including coloured crosswalks in Vancouver, Kelowna, and Princeton.

The idea is spreading through the North; Prince Rupert and Terrace will instaling their own soon.

The local Rainbow Crosswalk will likely be painted in the Spring.
