As of noon today (August 10) the area restriction for the Old Man Lake wildfire, east of Houston, has been lifted.
The BC Wildfire Service says the Old Man Lake wildfire is still an active worksite and people should still use caution while travelling in the area.
Even with the restriction lifted, officials can still order anyone to leave the area if it is necessary.
