A fifth Candidate has now entered the Skeena-Bulkley Valley riding.
Jeannie Parnell will be representing the Green Party in the Northwest.
The Prince Rupert resident says she’s running so she can “focus attention on current social and economic issues within the riding” like poverty, healthy living, and education.
Parnell says she speaks for many different groups across the Northwest and believes she can get to everyone despite her late start.
“It’s a democracy so I would like to get our voice out there and heard,” she says, “my goal is to get more women out there voting and more First Nations out there voting.”
Parnell’s office also says she’s also a “community developer, and health and wellness advocate.”
She said she’ll be headed through the Bulkley Valley and Lakes in early- to mid-October.
