People across the Province are walking together for a single goal this weekend.
The “Kidney Walk” will be held in 25 different communities Sunday, raising funds and awareness for the nearly 400 BC residents needing a kidney transplant.
Bulkley Valley coordinator Shannon Herman gave a kidney to save her cousin. She says becoming a donour can go a long way.
“An organ donation is such a simple thing to do. You put it on your card, it’s a simple thing to do, and you can help save a life,” she says.
Participants will get on the bus leaving the New Arena parking lot at 9 AM, and head to Hazelton’s Allen Park for the walk.
There is also a walk in Burns Lake, starting at 9 AM in Spirit Square.
