The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is proposing a new passing lane near Telkwa.
The project would begin near Woodmere Road and stretch 2 kilometres in the Eastbound lane. There are also intentions to improve the rest area.
The goals are to reduce traffic with safer passing opportunities and to allow larger vehicle to make rest stops.
The Ministry will be holding an open house with information on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 2 PM – 8 PM in the Telkwa Community Hall.
