The weather this summer was enough to make any farmer panic.
The Bulkley Valley and Lakes had a long drought in the early months, followed by dark, wet, and cloudy weather over the past few weeks.
With harvests coming up shortly, BC Minister of Agriculture Norm Letnick says many crops seem to be just fine.
“Yogi Berra just passed away this week and he said ‘it ain’t over ’til it’s over’ and that really applies here to agriculture,” he says, “I’m glad to see that things turned around for our hard working farmers in the Bulkley Valley.”
Letnik added that it’s important to buy locally from farmer’s markets.
