Three SD54 schools receive provincial upgrade funding

Three schools in School District 54 are receiving funding for various upgrades. 

This includes: 

  • Interior Construction and Roofing Upgrades at Smithers Secondary 
  • Exterior Wall Systems Upgrades at Twain Sullivan Elementary 
  • Kitchen Equipment at Muheim Memorial Elementary and Twain Sullivan Elementary 

These upgrades will cost the province $1,853,800. 

This is part of a $291.9 million investment into school maintenance projects across the province. 

School District 91 is recieving $1.35 million for upgrades at Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, and Fraser Lake schools, along with four new busses. 

According to the province, $4 billion has been invested into new and improved schools since 2017.
