New temperature records set in the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District

If you thought it was a warmer weekend than normal, you would be correct. 

Temperature records were broken on Sunday in the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District. 

In the Lakes District, the temperature hit a high of 12.5 degrees compared to 1992’s record of 12.2. 

For the Bulkley Valley, the record for March 24th was 11.6 degrees from 2006, uprooted by this weekend’s 15 degrees. 

Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Armel Castellan said things aren’t expected to cool off over the next while. 

“It warms up gradually through Easter weekend and definitely will be a dry feel.” 

While most days will feel drier, a rainy period is expected to begin Wednesday night and continue through Thursday.
