Wildfire near Endako triggers Evacuation alert

An evacuation alert was issued for the Endako area yesterday (Sunday) by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.

The alert runs along the north side of Highway 16 from Savory Road to Tatin Creek, to properties on the north end of Columbia Road.

This is in response to the Endako wildfire which sits at 25 hectares in size as of that afternoon.

During alerts, it’s recommended to prepare for an evacuation by gathering essential items, plan for relocation of pets, livestock, and family, and go over an evacuation plan with family and co-workers.

According to BC Wildfire’s website, the blaze remains out of control as of this morning. (Monday)
