The BC Wildlife Federation is co-hosting a series of Town Hall meetings in anticipation of this year’s provincial election, including some in the Northwest.
The Federation says the meetings will be held with local wildlife clubs, with MLAs and candidates invited to discuss the state of wildlife management in the province.
In the Northwest, meetings will take place:
- May 4th, Smithers 7:00 pm, Bulkley Valley Rod and Gun Club
- May 5th, Terrace, 12:00 pm, Terrace Rod and Gun Club
- May 5th, Kitimat 7:00 pm, Kitimat Rod and Gun Club
- May 6th, Prince Rupert, 7:00 pm, Prince Rupert Rod and Gun Club
Meetings will also happen in Prince George, Cranbrook, and Lone Butte.
The BC Wildlife Federation is calling for several wildlife management issues to be set in legislation, such as wildlife, habitat, and disease management.
