Twenty-eight communities across BC set temperature records yesterday (Monday), including two in the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District.
Burns Lake reached 32.6 degrees on Monday, beating out the old record of 31.8 set back in 2010.
In addition, Smithers eclipsed 33 degrees beating out the previous daily high for July 8th, which set last year at 31.9.
Further west, Terrace also found itself in the history books after climbing to a high 33.1 – the old record for July 8th was 32.6 degrees set in 2010.
Other communities across Northern BC who established new record-highs include Mackenzie (31.9), Dawson Creek (30.9), Chetwynd (32.4) and Cache Creek (40.7).
