Housing sales across the north remained flat over the past 12 months according to the BC Real Estate Association.
Last month, 427 transactions were made, holding steady when compared to June of 2023 where 423 homes came off the mark.
The average price for a home in Northern BC is $451,623 – a spike of 4.5% when compared to 12 months earlier when it was $432,143.
In June, the average price of a single-family home in PG was over 537-grand, a 16-thousand dollar spike when compared to the same month last year.
Active listings in our region saw a slight bump as well coming in at 2,170 – up from 2,105 12 months earlier.
Province-wide, 7,082 residential unit sales were recorded in June 2024, a 19 per cent decrease from a year ago.
The average residential price in BC in June 2024 was up one per cent at $998,159 compared to $988,632 during the same month last year.
