The Burns Lake Fire Department was called to a house fire on Hill Street at about 1:18 this afternoon. (Wednesday)
“On arrival, fire crews encountered a heavy exterior fire on the back side of the house and in the attic,” said Chief Rob Krause.
All the trucks and 15 fire fighters were on scene to battle the blaze, which was put out at about 4:00.
“There is a basement suite that we may be able to salvage some personal belongings from, but the main floor is completely destroyed,” said Krause.
The cause is still under investigation but believed to have been accidental.
