Former Northern Health CEO to be appointed to Order of BC

Prince George’s Catherine Ulrich will receive the highest honour one can achieve in the province of British Columbia.

Ulrich is one of 12 people appointed to the Order of British Columbia this year.

Ulrich retired last year after a 41-year career in health care, including 16 years as the President and CEO of Northern Health.

“This year’s recipients are impressive, not simply because of their outstanding contributions to their communities but also because of the diversity of their achievements,” said BC Lieutenant Governer and Chancellor of the Order of British Columbia Janet Austin.

“The recipients have made advances in sustainability, reconciliation, health care, technology, arts and business. I am amazed by their dedication and innovation, and I look forward to celebrating their installation into the Order at Government House.”

A special investiture ceremony will be held to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Order of BC in Victoria on September 4th.

A list of others to be appointed this year and their accomplishments can be found here.
