The BV Kinettes are calling this year’s “Witches Brew” the best one yet!
The 8th annual Halloween event took place at the Friendship Centre on Friday night, complete with live music and eccentric costumes.
While total funds haven’t been calculated, vice-president Bridgette Mackay says they raised about $5000.
“The best part actually is before the dance when we go around to all the people in town and take our donation letters and see all the prizes that people donate. Then, get to give them out to all the awesome costumes that people come up with,” she says.
Mackay said some of her favourite costumes included the Happy Gilmore group and the “YIP YIP YIP” people from Sesame Street.
The group is still deciding where to donate the money, but it will stay within the community.
