Vehicles and mud to mix this weekend in Houston

The Nadina Offroad Society Houston Mud Drags return this weekend to the Houston Airstrip.

The show kicks off at noon on both Saturday and Sunday with registration happening at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Also returning is the obstacle course.

“In between the mud drags, the vehicles will be in front of the audience, go through an obstacle course, and the fastest time wins,” said Volunteer Corrina Bodnar.

A wide range of vehicles can be seen throughout the event.

“Anything from street running trucks all the way up to monster trucks with tractor tires,” she said.

Categories also extend to smaller vehicles like ATVs for the obstacle course.

The event started in 2013 and has taken a few breaks since then.

“It was a brand-new site development with a whole lot of volunteers and created the fantastic site there is now,” Bodnar said.

The obstacle course was added a few years later which she said remains a crowd pleaser.
