B-C Conservative leader and Nechako Lakes MLA John Rustad is refusing to comment directly on a video appearance he made before an anti-vaccination group.
In the July video, released by the NDP, Rustad says he regrets getting three shots of what he termed “the so-called vaccine” to battle COVID-19.
He told the group that, after speaking with Doctor Bonnie Henry, he realized the vaccination campaign was more about controlling the population and shaping public opinion than controlling the spread of the virus.
Rustad will only say the New Democrats are trying to distract people away from the real issues in the election campaign.
