More support for drug addiction treatment in northwest BC is being called for by Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach.
This was made today (Friday), adding transportation especially to the lower mainland is a barrier currently for those seeking treatment.
“Liberal inaction means people who are struggling with substances often can’t access the help they need, when they need it,” said Bachrach.
In a release, he mentioned the Northern First Nations Alliance has proposed a culturally safe detox, treatment and recovery center in the Terrace area.
“Families in our region deserve concerted federal action and I’ll keep pushing until that happens,” Bachrach said.
