A book sale fundraiser will be held for the Smithers Library.
According to Library Director Wendy Wright, the event has been running for about 20 years.
“This is an important fundraiser for the library because that money goes towards things like the brand-new books that people come in and request, pays for snacks for all of our children’s and youth programs, new equipment…”
It also supports the library’s Books for Babies program which provides reading and audio materials for parents of newborns in the Smithers area.
The sale goes tomorrow evening (Friday) from 5:00 to 8:00 at the St. Joseph’s School gym.
It will also run on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
