The Burns Lake Fire Department responded to a house fire yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
Crews were called at 10:24 after an electrical circuit had been overloaded, igniting the building’s exterior.
When they arrived, the flame was starting to extend into the attic.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire in 15 minutes with the damages estimated to cost $20,000.
According to Fire Chief Rob Krause, it was the neighbour who called 911 as the homeowners were away.
