Windy weather brings about special weather statement

A fall storm sweeping across BC triggered a special weather statement by Environment Canada.

This includes the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District as windy conditions are expected today (Tuesday) and tomorrow.

It’s recommended to secure any loose outdoor items and prepare for travel delays, power outages, and downed trees.

This is being caused by a low-pressure system just off the province’s coast expected to continue traveling north.

The statement is also in effect for several other regions, including the Cariboo, Prince George, and Stuart – Nechako.

More information can be found on Environment Canada’s Bulkley Valley or Lakes District pages.
