Chilly weekend ahead for the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District

Bundle up!

Colder temperatures are on the way for the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District.

That’s according to Environment Canada after a wind warning was issued across most of the province.

“As the system eases off, we start to see another one coming in for the weekend and that’s when we really start to see the cold air,” said Meteorologist Brian Proctor.

“We’ll probably see highs of –8 to –12 on the weekend and overnight lows of about –15.”

The typical temperatures for this time of year are highs of –1 degree and lows of –7.

Next week, temperatures are expected to remain below normal.

“It’s really trending towards a more la Nina like winter as we move forward in time so expect those below normal temperatures to be the main climate focus as we move into December,” said Proctor.

A full forecast for can be found on Environment Canada’s Bulkley Valley or Lakes District pages.
