The Smithers Festival of Trees is returning to Glacier Toyota on Saturday (Nov. 30) raising funds for the Northwest Child Development Centre.
This is the tenth year the event has run which Centre Executive Director Kerri Bassett said has been filled with support.
“It’s amazing that the community wants to support our services, and the children, youth, and families in our community,” she said.
Last year, the auction raised $30,000 which was used to purchase new equipment and items for their lending library, along with expanding services.
“We’ve been so successful over the 10 years, raising over $260,000,” said Bassett.
Along with the annual auction, several live performers will play almost every day of the event.
