Amenities at Granisle’s New Beach Campground will be getting an upgrade.
This is part of a $950,000 spend by the federal government to improve tourism in rural communities.
$198,235 is going to the campground upgrade project with another $24,500 going to the North Coast Ecology Centre Society in Prince Rupert.
In Prince George, the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club and Alder Hills Golf Course also received funding.
“Northern British Columbia is home to world-class tourism attractions that showcase the stunning natural beauty and rich history and culture of our province,” said Minister Responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada Harjit Sajjan.
The funding comes from the Tourism Growth Program.
