It will be a night of laughs at the Burns Lake Legion on Saturday for their Comedy Show Fundraiser.
Mike McGuire from Prince George and friends will be performing with proceeds going towards paying down the legion’s remaining debt.
“He’s been here before and he has friends in the area and said, ‘Hey, I can do a show for those guys,’” said Trustee Jeanne Parkinson.
She added a lot of interest has been expressed since the show was announced.
“I haven’t seen him myself but I was told he was very good so I think there will be a lot of people coming out,” Parkinson said.
In December, the legion hosted an auction fundraiser which raised $46,000 towards paying off their debt.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and entry is by donation.
