Lakes District artists are being sought to showcase their art at the Lakes District Museum Society’s Heritage Gallery.
Exhibits would run between June and September this year, or pieces could be featured in their Arts August Exhibit.
“The gallery’s been fully booked for the summer months every year since we established it,” said Curator Michael Riis-Christianson.
He added they’ve had exhibits as large as 55 pieces with about a dozen artists being featured through the years.
“Since we’ve moved into the larger gallery, we’ve seen quite an increase in the number of visits to our gallery and museum,” Riis-Christianson said.
He added there’s always a surprise with every exhibit that goes through the gallery,
“The main thing is, we want to show new work and show the work of artists with a close connection to the Lakes District,” Riis-Christianson said.
The deadline to submit exhibit applications is March 31st.
