The Dze L K’ant Friendship Centre is looking for donations for its community Christmas supper.
The free annual event is prepared by staff and made possible by donations from local businesses.
Support Worker Genevieve Poirier says it’s a great way to bring everyone together, especially those who aren’t able to celebrate.
“There are some people in the community that don’t get to have a nice Christmas dinner. Also, it’s a nice time for everyone to get together,” she says.
The Centre is looking for the following items for the dinner on December 10th at 5 PM at the Community Hall (3955 3rd Avenue):
12 Turkeys
8 Hams
10kg Jell-O (5kg red, 5kg green)
Buns
Butter
24 Cans of Cranberry Sauce
1000 Napkins
500 Large Paper Plates
150lbs Potatoes
Whipping Cream
Milk
3kgm Coffee
Tea
Sugar cubes
500 Forks, Knives, Spoons, and Cups
Green Salad Ingredients (Tomatoes, Lettuce, Green Onions, Radishes, Cucumbers, Salad Dressing, Olive Oil)
Stuffing Ingredients (80 Loaves of Bread, Celery, Onions, Bacon, Seasoning)
