History promising many PIM on Saturday

Smithers will host the Terrace River Kings on Saturday night for what promises to be a rough installment in the rivalry.

In two games against one another this year, Terrace has recorded 6, 10-minute misconducts and 116 total minutes in the box. Smithers has earned 87 minutes of their own and 4 10-minute misconducts. The two have split six fighting majors and, thus far, have a grand combined total of 203 penalty minutes.

The two teams are also tied through 6 games, sharing identical 4-2 records, point totals (8), and goals for (29).

As if all of this wasn’t enough to promise an intense game, Saturday’s winner will also jump ahead of Prince Rupert for top spot in the West.

Puck drop at the Civic Centre is 7:30 on Saturday.
