Burns Lake residents will benefit from the Rotary Club’s efforts Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The club’s annual auction raised around $36,000, that will go towards causes in the community.
Bids came from people in attendance and as far as Alberta for items like tools, homemade desserts, and even a truck full of gravel.
Secretary Lianne Olson says it was hectic at times, but she enjoyed seeing the event come together.
“It’s all fun. The most memorable part is having the community together and the laughter that comes with it,” she says.
$10,000 was donated to the local Search & Rescue to equip their new boat.
The rest of the money will fund an upcoming project that has yet to be announced.
