Bulkley Valley and Lakes District residents are feeling less pain when buying gas today. (Tuesday)
New legislation from the BC Government introduced yesterday (Monday) dropped the Carbon Tax rate to zero dollars, which took effect today.
The resulting drop in gas prices was about 17 cents across the region, as expected.
According to Smithers Chevron, their price was 165.9 cents per litre on Monday and 147.7 today.
Smithers Petro Canada said their price was 169.9 cents per litre yesterday and 153.9 today.
Houston Petro Canada said their price dropped from 167.9 cents per litre yesterday to 155.4 today.
Burns Lake Chevron reported their price at 163.9 cents per litre yesterday and 155.4 today.
