Two local districts have received a chunk of change from the Provincial government.
In the absense of Alcan Kemano hydro hydroelectric generating station, the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has received nearly $830,000 dollars.
The grant money is given to compensate for the station’s exemption from local property taxes.
The neighbouring district of Kitimat-Stikine has received over $553,000 dollars as well.
