A local car dealership will be hosting a Holiday fundraiser throughout the week.
The “Festival of Trees” began this morning at Glacier Toyota, where different trees and wreaths are displayed and bid on.
Similar to the fundraisers done in places like Prince George, these sponsored displays are full of gifts and cover a wide range of themes, like Candyland and a Winter Wonderland.
Spokesperson Scott Olesiuk says so far, the event has created a lot of happy faces.
“We had people coming through and waiting anxiously to see what it was all about and there’s been nothing but smiles and excitement,” he says, “the bids are starting to come in so that’s great and the event is just starting so we’re very excited.”
You can see the displays every day this week between at 8 am – 6 PM. Hours are later on Thursday and Friday, where you can see them until 8 PM.
