Mountain opening pushed to Saturday

Those hoping to hit the slopes Friday will have to wait a little longer.

The already postponed opening day has been pushed back again, this time to Saturday morning.

Resource Service Manager Chrissy Chapman says safety, not levels of snow, is the reason for this delay.

“We’re going to have all of our team that we’ve hired to shovel snow onto the lift lines so we can make this opening happen,” she says.

Forecasts and recent weather suggest there will be lots of snow on the mountain this weekend.

Chapman adds the Chairlift will not be open.
