Stikine MLA Doug Donaldson is looking ahead to what 2016.
The local politician says he’s excited about working with the Provincial NDP’s energy strategy, “Power BC,” after the holidays.
“Most of the energy loss that we see in the province is through poorly insulated public buildings” said Donaldson. “That’s going to be an exciting strategy to talk about with people.”
He says it will spread jobs around the Province and take power out of Site C.
As the Ministry of Children and Family Development critic, Donaldson wants to keep fighting for more social support and supplies in the North.
“A fifty-million dollar infusion is needed into that ministry” said Donaldson. “We’re going to hold the Premier’s feet to the fire to get that implemented.”
He says he will continue to fight for things like the highway 16 public transit system and First Nations issues.
