The Smithers Public Library is looking forward to another great year after a record-setting 2015.
It was the busiest year to date. The library signed out over 100,000 items, spanning from books to movies to new technological kits.
Director Wendy Wright says the library is about more than just books.
“It’s really about learning and sharing and becoming inspired by other people’s ideas whether it’s by reading a magazine article or a book or coming to a program,” she says, “I hope people will come forward even more and tell us what they’d like to see at the library.”
The library also added iPads to the children’s section and replaced all the VHS tapes with DVDs.
