The District of Houston meets for its regular meeting Tuesday.
Council will be discussing the purchase of a new garbage truck as the current unit was purchased in 2007 and is beginning to cost too much in repairs.
The District will also examine its options for disposal of an old 1979 fire truck. The District’s previous surplus truck was sold for $5,000, but councillors may decide to donate the truck to smaller community.
Lastly, A-Rocha Canada is asking for a letter of support for its funding application to the pacific salmon foundation for its fish hatchery project.
The meeting starts at 7 in Council Chambers on 12th street.
