Houston’s air quality advisory has ended.
The Ministry of Environment ended it this morning when weather conditions changed and improved the air.
The provincial air quality threshold for harmful PM2.5 particulate is 25 micrograms per cubic metre (μg/m3) averaged over 24 hours. When the advisory was put into effect at 8 AM on Tuesday, Houston’s particulate levels read 33 μg/m3. Levels have since dropped.
Along with the advisory, the wood stove ban has been lifted.
This was Houston’s fourth advisory since late November.
