Those waiting on the new Telkwa water tower will have to wish a little bit harder.
Council had its most recent Tower grant proposal denied.
Looking at the next proposal process, Mayor Darcy Repen says the Village will need to better its water conservation efforts.
“Hopefully, we’ll be following through in the spring and the summer with some initiatives to really bring that to the forefront and just demonstrate to the funding partners that we really are doing everything we can to make the water that we have go as far as we can,” he says.
He says Council will heavily emphasize the Villages major fire safety concerns and restricted growth.
