MP Nathan Cullen recently spoke to citizens in the riding to learn where to spend federal dollars.
He said learning each communities needs was an important first step before investing government money.
“It’s like owning a house and deciding on doing some renovations but you have no idea the stat of the roof or the driveway or your heating system, you just don’t know,” he says, “So, part of, I think, what happens next for a lot of places is just figuring what that is.”
He said every community differed, but a constant theme he heard was a demand for growth and basic infrastructure.
He says most towns haven’t done a full assessment like this before, and he’ll compile all the information to present to Ottawa.
