A Canadian travel agency named Houston one of the country’s Top 50 small towns.
FlightNetwork says the District’s best features include its size, cozy accommodations, and restaurants.
It also highlighted friendly residents, which Chamber of Commerce Manager Maureen Czirfusz says is important.
“Our old slogan used to be ‘Where the welcome is warm and the wilderness beckons,’ and I think that also just ties into how friendly everyone is,” she says, “When you need help, it’s amazing how the community pulls together and they’re always there for everybody.”
Czirfusz also the natural beauty shouldn’t be taken for granted.
