Council discussing Ranger Park Pre at Monday’s public meeting

Smithers Council wants to hear your thoughts on the future of Ranger Park Pre-school.

Council is holding a public meeting tonight to discuss with and inform you of the school’s current finances and closure proposal.

Mayor Taylor Bachrach says nothing is set in stone at this point.

“We’re trying to be as transparent as possible with the public when it comes to our decision-making process. At the meeting, our staff are going to be making a presentation that provides an overview of how the pre-school program has been performing, how it’s structure, and what some of the issues are,” he says.

This is the second time in less than two years that the school is facing closure.

The meeting begins at 7 PM in the Council Chambers.
