Smithers Mayor Taylor Bachrach held office hours (MON) today to answer any of your questions surrounding downtown signs.
Hosting alongside other Council members, the group heard about 15 speak their minds.
Recently, over 400 people filled out a sign survey. Using that and other recent information, Bachrach says Council is taking steps to updating downtown.
“There’s going to be a process that leads to a new bylaw one way or another. Council has shown an openness to look at the bylaw to make revisions and make it a better bylaw,” he says.
Council is seeing a revised bylaw draft at its regular meeting March 22nd.
