An online auction is hoping to raise money for a family of a Smithers boy who is in hospital in Vancouver.
Fifteen-year-old Austin Motz was seriously injured during a motocross race a couple weeks ago and has been in BC Children’s Hospital ever since.
Friend, Arthur Mott says he started the Facebook auction as a way to raise money for the family while they stay with Motz in Vancouver.
“I race too and I have had a few injuries and I just thought about how my mom was off work when I hurt myself and we couldn’t really afford it. So I thought it’s the same thing for them. They can’t afford it so might as well try to help them out.”
