The high school basketball Provincials have wrapped up.
Boys
Trent Monkman hooped 59 points for Smithers in a 103-85 victory
over Prince Charles at the “AA” tournament in Langley.
SSS finished 15th in the 16-team tournament with a 1-3 record.
Monkman averaged 45 points a game. He scored a total of 181
of the 286 Smithers points over the four games.
Bulkley Valley Christian placed 7th and Lakes District 15th at the “A” tournament in Langley.
Both teams won their final game. BVCS outscored Osoyoos 89-83 to end up with an overall 2-2 record.
LDSS whipped Mulgrave 90-57 to finish 1-2.
Girls
Lakes District finished 10th and Bulkley Valley Christian 11th at the 16-team girls “A” tournament in Duncan.
LDSS lost the 9th place game 56-45 to Kelowna Christian while BVCS outscored Northside 58-44 in the 11th place game.
Northside (of Vanderhoof) ended up 12th.
