New Hazelton RCMP responded almost 78 calls between March 17th and 23rd.
Around 9:30 PM on the 18th, a Corvette hit a moose on Highway 16 near Suskwa Forest Service Road.
Pinned to the seat, the New Hazelton Fire Department had to free the driver from the car.
Luckily, both the driver and the passenger were taken to hospital with only minor injuries.
The moose died.
The next day, RCMP got a call around 9 AM about a stolen 2015 Dodge Ram. It was taken from a Cordova street home in 2 Mile.
It wasn’t long before the RCMP found the car. It was in an accident on Six Mile Road.
Police are still investigating.
