Houston volunteers are putting on a pancake breakfast for Syrian refugees.
Council agreed to let the group use the Arena to host the event at Tuesday night’s meeting.
Many of the volunteers are emergency workers, like Houston Search and rescue worker Andy Muma. He says it’s easy says to get firefighters and SAR to help out.
“Generally speaking, people that work in the emergency services area are wired to help people in need so it wasn’t too difficult to get people,” he says.
Breakfast is served by donation starting at 8:30 AM on 23rd.
