The district of Houston is jumping on board with the Amber Alert Program.
They’ll be relaying information through their online channels to help relocate abducted children.
Councillor Tim Anderson says it’s been a long time coming.
“Highway of tears is a reality,” says Anderson. “I think it’s an important part of every community to pass the information on as soon as possible so everyone can be alert and aware.”
The Amber Alert sends out emergency notices online using social media, and soon the District of Houston’s website.
