Tomorrow just happens to be National Impaired Driving and Enforcement Day, right in time for the Victoria Day long weekend.
“Expect road checks and traffic stops throughout the Bulkley Valley. The impaired driving cost – like legal, financial, social consequences and loss of life are a mainstay for us. And ensuring that the roads are safe for everyone travelling,” says Smithers RCMP Sergeant Shaun Begg.
Beggs also mentions that the penalties for texting and driving are doubling in June.
