To cover instances of misconduct within the Municipal District of Houston, council is looking at adopting a whistleblower policy.
Councillor Tim Anderson says it will give anyone making complaints some anonymity.
“Keep it discreet so people have an opportunity to express concerns and problems and try to resolve them without the pressure of being singled out.”
The policy covers instances of serious misconduct including manipulation of district resources, embezzling funds or accepting kickbacks or bribes.
